UX Design - EllieMae Consumer Direct (B2C)

EllieMae Consumer Direct is a financial solution for the customer that wants to apply directly for a loan. Responsive development allows the customer to have a full view of where his loan is from any device.

The customer can see when their loan is going to close and the next steps needed. We created multiple personas, so customers and lenders had a full view of what was happening with the loan and the needed tasks to complete the loan.

We used a User-Centered design approach:

Understand how the user experiences the product. Observed how users engaged with our old product, as well as the environment or context in which they'll experience the product. We also conducted interviews to understand our user's processes.

Specify the user's needs. Defined the tasks users needed to complete and, and based on the research, figured out which user problems needed to be prioritized. 

Design solutions. Came up with lots of ideas for designs that addressed the user problems we identified and worked on them. 

Evaluated the designs against the user's needs. We conducted research initiatives to ensure the designs created solved the user's problem and collected feedback about the overall experience.
